1.   Approve minutes from February 27
Minutes were approved as amended by a motion from Nancy O’Brien, seconded by Kirstin Dougan.

2.   Question Time
Visiting Assistant Professor was left off the Residency position title. Lori Mestre asked EC to approve adding the title. The addition was approved.

COD meetings – Andy Singer is the new Acting Director for the Siebel Center for Design.

Budget document – There is an option to submit investment proposals to campus. We have not received instructions on how to do this yet. The Library will submit a proposal asking for additional collections money over 3 years. The library will reallocate some collection funds, some of which will come from accounts that have been underspent. The Library will also be looking at cancellations, primarily in the physical sciences and Engineering.

The Library has to come up with $600,000 (3%) in cuts, most of which will come from central funds.

1st Floor service point – we need to have a comprehensive service plan before we shift or remodel. Bill will be talking to JoAnn about how to proceed.

4.   Humanities and Interdisciplinary Scholars Collaboratory Strategy and Planning Group Interim Report
EC accepted the interim report. The planning group asked for an extension until May 15 to submit the final report and EC approved the extension.

5.   Call for positions for hiring plan, deadline 5/15
In the campus budget document, all units have to submit AP requests. That is why the call went out for just AP positions to be submitted by March 20. Then we will be asked to submit faculty positions in the hiring plan. This is not due until late May, so a separate call for faculty positions is going out the end of March.

6.   Paper preparer for P&T and reviewer
A paper preparer and reviewers were suggested.
 
7.   Position request – Visiting Exhibits Conservator
Since this position has its own funding, EC approved moving forward.
 
8.   Library Committee Fund Review document feedback

EC approves the recommendations submitted.
