1. Review Research Question Priorities
   1. There were no updates to the research questions.
2. Presentation on Photovoice
   1. Jess presented an overview and best practices for Photovoice, and shared a document which included suggested reading.  The method is meant to be participatory and action focused, vs methods where researchers just use photos without context.  the presentation reviewed process, ethical, and analytical considerations in running a Photovoice study.  The team decided to use the method in an iterative fashion, expanding the groups recruited over the next few semesters.  There was also a suggestion to think about how video or audio descriptions might be incorporated.
3. Presentation on Focus Groups
   1. John presented an overview and best practices for organizing and leading focus groups.  Points of emphasis included right-sizing the groups (ideally no more than 8 per session), and designing prompts that established issues without suggesting possible solutions.  Researchers should establish trust, expectations, and scope for conversations, and leave room for conversation.
4. Other
   1. Subteams were formed for both research methods, and will start organizing research plans and IRB forms for the August meeting.
