1.   1:30-2-AULs

The AULs shared a draft PowerPoint with EC. EC made suggestions and the AULs will update the PowerPoint and resubmit to EC.

b.   Update on Retreat
The next announcement will include an agenda and information about the breakout tables.

c.    Proposed charge for a Working Group on Teams to Support Research
EC has decided to wait until the work of the Advanced Technologies
Group (ATG) working group is done. That final report is due March 30, 2017. The work of the ATG may serve as a model for the Working Group on Teams to Support Research (WGTSR). Beth will work on deliverables and a timeline for WGTSR in preparation.

2.   2:00-2:30 – JoAnn Jacoby – Committee Fund Review
JoAnn discussed the document. There are a few committees missing that have funds, so JoAnn will make changes and send it back to EC. Then it will be posted for comment.

3.   Approve minutes from January 4
Minutes were approved with a motion by Nancy O’Brien, seconded by Ellen Swain.

4.   Question Time

John announced his disappointment in the Provost leaving. He has no information about the next interim Provost.

A PRC replacement was made.

EC suggested a chair for the AP Promotion Implementation Team.

Illinois Distributed Museum Coordinator – this is a 2-year position which will be paid for, in part, by the Provost’s Office and the Office of Corporate Relations with the Library responsible for 1/3 of the salary in the second year. This is a campus-wide coordinator and has ties to the Sesquicentennial. The position will be based in the Archives. EC appointed a search committee.

In the feedback received on the Advanced Technology Group Working Group individuals asked to see the broader document. Due to time constraints, EC will discuss this over email.
