Charge
The Advisory Committee advises the Director on center policy and procedures.
Composition
The Committee of nine Faculty members, at least half of whom are drawn from the Library faculty, are appointed to the Mortenson Advisory Committee by the University Librarian, in consultation with the Executive Committee, and on the recommendation of the Director of the Mortenson Center. The appointed members serve two-year staggered terms and may be reappointed to successive terms, not to exceed four years.

- As discussed in the last meeting, a lot of great ideas were presented; direction that is currently being discussed is to feature Past Associates as well as publishing a Map of worldwide locations that all Mortenson Center Associates have participated from
- Additionally, similar to how the Illinois Distributed Museum showcases profiles, we would try to highlight Mortenson Center Associates by both a photo and answers to a set of 10 questions to help highlight their leadership accomplishments throughout the world
