“The University Library accepts requests to display information on digital signage from Library units and employees pertaining to library matters, including School of Information Sciences (iSchool) events and programs. Departmental libraries (e.g., Grainger, Undergraduate Library, etc.) may post matters relating to their individual spaces; this could include information about non-library events taking place in a library facility. In addition, any digital signage supporting the Library’s commitment to diversity and inclusion are acceptable. The Policy has not changed since it was created in 2012. The last 2 sentences were added to include diversity and inclusion.

The new language was approved by the committee.

The committee also discussed the current signage software and what information is displayed on each of the signs in different parts of main and the outlying libraries. Tom Habing reported that Jim Dohle and Robert Slater are looking into other software that may be most cost effective and will coordinate with Heather to investigate the suitability for various use cases and make a presentation at a future AC meeting.

2.       Conversion of Division pages to WordPress (Avery)

It was determined that the division pages be accessed through the intranet and that as much information as possible come from the database that Tom Habing is working on. The division information on the org chart will also be linked from the staff-side pages.

Beth Namachchivaya – Update on the privacy policy implementation plan – Beth has emailed about 14 individuals and groups who are responsible for updating their policies. Policies all contain a privacy component. The plan is to have each individual or group responsible update the privacy component using a policy template. There are some groups who need to develop a privacy policy and the team will be sending them emails. Beth will be hosting 2 sessions on 4/19 and 4/25, to help people work with the policy revision using new templates.

Greg Knott – AP Task Force is moving along. There have been 53 submissions from APs out of a possible 65. If an AP doesn’t agree with an evaluation, there will be a grievance process.

Bill Maher was awarded the Campus Outstanding Faculty Leadership Award.

Greg Knott – AP and Civil Service evaluations due 5/19.
