<\/a>To the Archives<\/strong><\/h2>\nWhen he decided to retire in 2003, Bill Morrow sold the studio\u2019s physical space (on Walnut Street in Downtown Champaign) to the adjacent business, Esquire Lounge.\u00a0 University Archivist Bill Maher, along with other local cultural heritage professionals, evaluated the studio\u2019s archives and concluded that it had immense value as a record of life and commerce in the local community.\u00a0 Accordingly, Morrow and the owners of Esquire transferred the material to the University of Illinois Archives.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/slc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/73\/2024\/10\/3902033_B63_E127_Bell-Ringer-_1980-1-221x300.jpg\")

RS 39\/2\/33, Box 63, Envelope 127.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nProcessing Process<\/strong><\/h2>\nIn the spring of 2024, Archives Research Assistant Spenser Bailey started processing the material, which had been in various stages of arrangement and pre-processing since its acquisition.\u00a0 He conserved, re-housed, organized, and described the collection, which consists of almost 15,000 individual items.\u00a0 The bulk of these are 2 \u00bc x 2 \u00bc, 4 x 5, and 8 x 10 photographic negatives, which were meticulously organized by the operators of the studio and, with few exceptions, remain in excellent physical condition.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/slc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/73\/2024\/10\/3902033_B8_E67_Ozier-Dollhouse_1957-300x233.jpg\")
