RS 39\/2\/33, Box 19, Envelope 2.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><strong>To the Archives<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>When he decided to retire in 2003, Bill Morrow sold the studio\u2019s physical space (on Walnut Street in Downtown Champaign) to the adjacent business, Esquire Lounge.\u00a0 University Archivist Bill Maher, along with other local cultural heritage professionals, evaluated the studio\u2019s archives and concluded that it had immense value as a record of life and commerce in the local community.\u00a0 Accordingly, Morrow and the owners of Esquire transferred the material to the University of Illinois Archives.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12835\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12835\" style=\"width: 227px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/slc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/73\/2024\/10\/3902033_B63_E127_Bell-Ringer-_1980-1-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-12835 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/slc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/73\/2024\/10\/3902033_B63_E127_Bell-Ringer-_1980-1-221x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"227\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12835\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>An unidentified woman models a Collegiate Cap &amp; Gown robe in 1980. Envelope 67.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This means that, with modern scanning technology, archives personnel can quite easily create high-quality, digital images and new prints of these images.\u00a0 Additional content includes prints produced by the Studio, which highlight the various photographic techniques deployed over the years, correspondence and business records, a collection of advertising material from other studios and manufacturers of photo equipment, and a set of motion picture films produced by the Studio\u2019s film production arm, the G&amp;G Film Corporation.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>This gallery shows day and night views of the Busch beer sign once located on top of 64 E.
