The Summer Lab is open for eight weeks during the summer from mid-June through the first week of August, and scholars stay as long as they need to conduct their research.<\/p>\n<p>To read more about SRL, including application information and an overview of the the Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center, click\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.reeec.illinois.edu\/srl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"middle\">\n<div id=\"colCenter\">\n<h3 id=\"general_information_2\">General Information<\/h3>\n<h4><strong>Resource Guide for Summer Research Lab<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"middle\">\n<div id=\"colCenter\">\n<p>This\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/guides.library.illinois.edu\/OrientationtoSRL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">introductory guide<\/a>\u00a0summarizes the important information covered in our orientation sessions.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Technology at the IAS Library<\/strong><\/h4>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bookeye Scanner<\/strong>\u00a0[also known as KIC scanner or Planetary scanner]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>ScanPro Microfiche \/ Microfilm\/ Opaque Card and Micro Card Reader and Scanner<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Internet Access<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Scholars visiting the Summer Research Lab are provided with guest credentials for wireless connections, which allows for access to the library catalog and databases on and off campus (within the dorms, outside of library hours).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4><strong>Instructional Services for Visitors<\/strong><\/h4>\n<div>A schedule of instructional sessions will be available\u00a0closer to the time of the lab. These sessions explain how to use the library\u2019s resources, including\u00a0online catalogs, printing and databases.
