The Slavic Reference Service provides year-round support for scholars working in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies. While we are fortunate to receive partial funding from the government through the Title VIII Program, this support alone is not sufficient to cover the breadth of programming we offer.<\/p>\n

Gifts to the SRS should be directed to the Mary Zirin Fund. Mary Fleming Zirin was a pioneer in Slavic and East European women\u2019s studies. Working as an independent scholar, she amassed information and shared it generously with others, both informally and through her well-known publications, such as the Dictionary of Russian Women Writers<\/em> (1994), Women & Gender in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, and Eurasia: A Comprehensive Bibliography<\/em> (2007), and the Current Bibliography<\/em> still regularly produced by the Association for Women in Slavic Studies.<\/p>\n
