Emmelhainz has an MA in anthropology from Texas A&amp;M and an MLS from Kent State University. Her prior education includes a MA in Religious Studies from Indiana University and two summers at Middlebury Language Schools\u2019 graduate Russian program. She currently works on web archiving and government information projects at the University of Toronto\u2019s Robarts Library, and has previously been an instructor and teaching assistant in humanities departments at Corpus Christi College, Dalhousie University, and Indiana University. From 2019 to 2021 she was a Music History and Literature and Library and Information Science graduate student at the University of Wisconsin\u2013Milwaukee.\u00a0 She is employed as a music history and theory teacher and music librarian at the School for Musically Gifted Children in C\u0301uprija, Serbia (2018-2019 and 2021- ). Librarian for Slavic, East European &amp; Eurasian Studies, University of Michigan. Brendan earned his PhD in Slavic Languages from Columbia University and started as SEEES Librarian at U-M the following year. While he most enjoys offering direct research support to students and faculty, he&#8217;s also interested in resource digitization, the challenges of collecting and making accessible historical newspapers, and the unique problems, opportunities, and ethics of SEEES resource availability on the open web.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Kirsten Painter<\/strong> received her PhD in Russian Literature from Columbia University and her MLIS from the University of Washington. Within librarianship, her specialties are Slavic Studies, Special Collections, Digital Humanities, Museology, and children\u2019s literature. Before the pandemic, she served as the Special Collections &amp; Digital Humanities Librarian at St. Paul University (Ottawa, Ontario). She has published a book on the history of poetry (&#8220;Flint on a Bright Stone: A Revolution of Precision and Restraint in American, Russian, and German Modernism,&#8221; Stanford UP), and a chapbook of her own poems (&#8220;Solitude\u2019s Companions&#8221;). She has also worked for several years as a freelance editor and indexer for institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Harriman Institute at Columbia University. Her thesis research highlights the contemporary issues in the Saint Petersburg Archives, specifically examining systemic and procedural problems that hinder scholarly research.
