- Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations (ADHO)
ADHO is a union of seven different DH organizations from across the globe (listed below). The organization strives to “promote and support digital research and teaching across all arts and humanities disciplines.” ADHO also sponsors an annual DH conference held in cities all over the world.
Current members of ADHO:
- HASTAC (Humanities, Arts, Science, and Technology Alliance and Collaboratory)
An interdisciplinary community of humanists, artists, scientists, and technologists focused on innovation in teaching and research, including DH and other born-digital scholarship.
A special interest group of ADHO focusing on spatial humanities.
- Red de Humanidades Digitales (RedHD)
RedHD focuses on promoting and strengthening digital humanities work, especially in Latin America, by assisting in communication both between digital humanists and the community.
- The Society for Textual Scholarship and Textual Cultures
The Society for Textual Scholarship and Textual Cultures is an international organization of scholars working in textual studies, including electronic textualities.
- Text Encoding Initiative
TEI is an organization that develops guidelines (TEI Guidelines) for encoding machine-readable texts in the humanities and social sciences.
