From 1976 through 1978, Garland Publishing, Inc. of New York reproduced the\u00a0<strong>facsimiles<\/strong>\u00a0listed below under the series title &#8220;Classics of Children&#8217;s Literature.&#8221; Each title in the series contains a short preface, a bibliography of the author&#8217;s other works for children, and selected references.<\/p>\n<p>While the School (S-) Collection does contain many of the Garland facsimiles, the University Library may or may not own an original copy. If we do own an original copy, these would be found in the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.library.illinois.edu\/rbx\/\">Rare Book and Manuscript Library<\/a> (RBML) room 346 of the Main Library. Search the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/i-share-uiu.primo.exlibrisgroup.com\/discovery\/search?vid=01CARLI_UIU:CARLI_UIU&amp;lang=en\">Library Catalog<\/a>\u00a0to determine if we have both the Garland and original editions. An author, title, or author\/title search will display the call number and location. Original printings are held in the Rare Book and Manuscript Library and Main Stacks as well.
