This coat of arms has been added to the recto of leaf a2 and is located after the incipit to the prologue.\u00a0 The inscription at the head of the leaf reads:\u00a0 Emptu[?] Jhr&#8230;ne[??] die ii\u00a0 Juli 16[-]1, and a previous inscription has been struck-through above it. The library is one of seven universities in possession of this text in the United States.<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/i-share.carli.illinois.edu\/uiu\/cgi-bin\/Pwebrecon.cgi?DB=local&amp;v1=1&amp;BBRecID=6236695\">The volume<\/a> was bequeathed to the Library in 1931 by Mrs. Mary F. Kitchell from the library of her late husband, John Wickliff Kitchell of Pana, Illinois. The rest of the initials in this item have all been added in gilt, continuing the \u201cgolden\u201d theme.\u00a0 It has been bound in parchment on boards, with spine title: &#8220;Leonardi de Vtino Sermones de Sanctis 1475&#8221;.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/rbx\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/52\/2011\/09\/incunpage.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-531\" title=\"incunpage\" src=\"http:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/rbx\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/52\/2011\/09\/incunpage.jpg?w=220\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/rbx\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/52\/2011\/09\/incunpage.jpg 1103w, https:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/rbx\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/52\/2011\/09\/incunpage-221x300.jpg 221w, https:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/rbx\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/52\/2011\/09\/incunpage-768x1044.jpg 768w, https:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/rbx\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/52\/2011\/09\/incunpage-753x1024.jpg 753w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 220px) 100vw, 220px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking any information that might lead to the identification of this coat of arms.
