{"id":3295,"date":"2023-04-11T11:00:44","date_gmt":"2023-04-11T11:00:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/mtx\/?p=3295"},"modified":"2025-12-01T22:02:40","modified_gmt":"2025-12-01T22:02:40","slug":"returning-and-renewing-library-books-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/mtx\/2023\/04\/11\/returning-and-renewing-library-books-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Return or Renew Library Books"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Return books to any University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Library book drop<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Outdoor book drop at Grainger Engineering Library and Information Center, located on the southeast wall of the building facing Bardeen Quad.<\/li>\n<li>Outdoor book drop at the Main Library, located on the south side of the building off of the E3 parking lot.<\/li>\n<li>Any other University Library book drop to which you have access \u2013 (book(s) will be returned through campus library shipping to correct library).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Log in to your Library account to renew your books (not all items allows renewal).<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to the <a title=\"Library's catalog\" href=\"https:\/\/i-share-uiu.primo.exlibrisgroup.com\/discovery\/search?vid=01CARLI_UIU:CARLI_UIU&amp;lang=en\">Library&#8217;s catalog.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201cSign In\u201d on the top right corner.<\/li>\n<li>After signing in, click on your name, then click on \u201cMy Loans\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Select \u201cRenew\u201d.
