The Library Staff Steering Committee is please to announce this year's UIUC delegates:

Pam Lindell and Peggy Ramert will also be attending (RFS Committee Members).

We wish to express our appreciation of the UIUC Library Administration's continuing support of UIUC staff attendance/participation at this Library Staff Conference.  We would like, especially, to acknowledge Bart Clark who was instrumental in making it possible for all interested staff to attend this year.

A brown bag will be scheduled in October, so that RFS attendees will have the opportunity to share their experience with other library staff.

I. Minutes of the July 28, 1999, meeting were approved as revised.

A. Alvan Bregman will be invited to a future meeting to discuss issues of importance to staff.  (The date was set for September 8).

 V. New Business

A. L. Roberts forwarded comments from Tech Services Division to address to Alvan Bregman when LSSC meets with him.  An announcement will be sent to Libnews calling for input from all staff.  Input to be compiled at the August 25 meeting.

B. Tech Services Div. voiced a need for security personnel during the day, not just at night.
