B.  Faculty Meeting -- No meeting since last report.

III.  Updates/Discussions

A.  Election Guidelines Sub-committee -- Final version will be posted to the LSSC web page for general review.  The guidelines will be tested in November.

B.  CSE Evaluations -- Gil will prepare a draft for the next meeting for review.

C.  Oak Street Remote Facility -- There will be an open forum once details become available regarding the actual space and shelving system.  The selection group is preparing lists for selector review.

http//www.library.uiuc.edu/administration/news.htm

E.  CSE Retreat -- The committee is awaiting word of funding amount before finalizing format of the retreat.  Once format is decided, then the location can be determined, and then date based upon availability of spaces.  Committee members will be collecting names and information regarding possible speakers and topics.

F.  Training Issues -- Committee members are still collecting input.  It is hopeful that when the assistant is hired in the Library's HR Office, and the budget is released, that we will be able to move forward on training.

G.  Strategic Planning -- A note will be sent to libstaff calling for any interested parties to submit their names to the committee.

H.  ALA Recipient Presentations -- Committee members will begin planning the brown bag presentation by Dorey and Norma after their return from ALA.

J.  RFS Conference -- Pam Lindell will coordinate with Cindy Kelly to select names for the conference.

IV.  New Business

A.  Bob Burger recapped discussions regarding the May 14th Retreat and spoke briefly about evaluations.  He was already aware of the comments about the retreat and we reviewed these issues with him.
