Google Scholar<\/a> searches academic articles from a variety of sources and across many disciplines (for more, see\u00a0our guide on using Google Scholar in your research<\/a>). Some articles\u00a0are\u00a0available to everyone but some\u00a0are restricted and will ask for payment. However, current U of I affiliated faculty, staff, and students have access to many of these restricted items for free.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0Campus<\/h2>\n

When using Google Scholar on campus, it may automatically recognize that you are affiliated with the University of Illinois and display \u201cDiscover Full Text\u201d links for items where this is available.<\/p>\n

Off Campus<\/h2>\n

Configure Google Scholar to recognize your University of Illinois affiliation. If you have cookies turned on, your browser will remember your configuration -OR- you can login to Google Scholar using your Illinois Google account<\/a> or a personal Google account.<\/p>\n

Then click on Library Links from the Settings menu. From the Library Links screen, search for \u201cuniversity of illinois @ urbana-champaign.\u201d If you get two different options; choose the one with the @ symbol in it. Then click on the Save button.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
