You will be trained in answering basic reference questions, circulation, and overseeing the library night and weekend hours. Tasks include loaning\/returning materials, assisting with stack maintenance projects, shelving books, answering phone calls, helping with library technology, ect\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Major Duties and Responsibilities&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Loans\/Returns, renew, and call slips<ul><li>Answering phone and taking messages<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Basic reference\/OPAC use instruction<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Locating and retrieving items for patrons<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Assisting in Maintenance of materials<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Weeding out books for hold<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Observing and enforcing library rules\/regulations<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Light dusting &amp; cleaning<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Other duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enrolled as an Undergraduate Student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for the Academic Terms of Employment listed above \\<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong interpersonal and team skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work independently and to stay on task<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Customer service experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong> Only physical paper applications are accepted.
