The Grainger Engineering Library and IDEA Lab feature a variety of software:

  • Virtual Reality workstations with software, including Unity, Oculus Rift, Mixed Reality Portal, Steam
  • Data Visualization software
  • 3D modeling and slicing software including Cura, Autodesk suite, SolidWorks
  • Development and programming software including Android Studio, Arduino, Python, Visual Studio

The Media Commons facilities include:

  • Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) editing software in our audio studio
  • Video editing software in both our film studio and on our public PCs
  • Virtual Reality workstations with authoring software, including Unity

Scholarly Commons specialized software includes support for:

  • GIS (ARCGis, QGIS, etc.)
  • Advanced Statistical analysis (SPSS, R, etc.)
  • Textual analysis (ATLAS.ti, NVIVO, etc.)
