It was previously published by the Department of Information Studies at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia.<sup class=\"footnote\">3<\/sup><\/p>\n<p><strong>Peer reviewed?<\/strong>\u00a0At least two referees blind review each paper.<sup class=\"footnote\">4<\/sup><\/p>\n<p><strong>Type:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0LIS scholarly journal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Medium:<\/strong>\u00a0<em>LIBRES\u00a0<\/em>is an online, open-access journal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Content:<\/strong>\u00a0This journal has three main sections, Research Papers, Synthesis &amp; Perspectives, and Special Sections. Submissions are usually reviewed within 60 days of receipt. Papers should not be under review or published elsewhere. \u201cThe reviews will pay particular attention to whether the papers are interesting, useful, thoughtful, and a significant contribution to knowledge in the LIS field.\u201d<sup class=\"footnote\">9<\/sup><\/p>\n<p><strong>Editorial tone:<\/strong>\u00a0The journal uses a formal academic style.
