This photograph of a young, Chicago newspaper hawker (a familiar sight in American cities from the 1830s) was taken by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icp.org\/browse\/archive\/constituents\/jack-delano?all\/all\/all\/all\/0\">Jack Delano <span class=\" fa fa-external-link\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span><\/a>, an immigrant who achieved considerable renown as a documentary photographer.
