The Illinois Newspaper Project (INP) identifies, preserves, and digitizes Illinois newspapers. We also help researchers locate the Illinois newspapers they need through maintaining the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.library.illinois.edu\/inp\/database_wp.php\">Illinois Newspaper Directory<\/a>. Except from the titles from St. Clair County, these titles were digitized as part of a deal between Newspapers.com and the Illinois Newspaper Project. The titles from St. Clair County were digitized as part of a partnership between the Illinois Newspaper Project and the St. Clair County Genealogical Society, who provided funding toward the digitization of these titles. This webinar will be held on Thursday, December 11, from 1-2pm via Zoom. Among the newspapers included are Black newspapers and newspapers in non-English languages, primarily Lithuanian and Polish. This batch also made 4 new Illinois counties available on the IDNC map! We&#8217;re happy to have added the first IDNC digital content for Macoupin, Piatt, Richland, and Union counties!
