Scope and Contents of the Materials

This collection of Randolph County and St. Clair County legal papers includes documents signed by Matthew Duncan, the first territorial printer, and William C. Greenup, the clerk of the Randolph County Court and, later, a superintendent of the National Road.

Terry Tanner, of Skokie, Ill., donated the collection to the Illinois Historical Survey in 2003.
