This collection consists of a transcription of a report from the Commissioners of the Illinois and Michigan Canal, Erastus Brown and Emmanuel J. West to Thomas Sloo, Jr. in McLeansboro, Illinois. The report is dated February 17, 1824 and discusses their inspection of the proposed route of the canal. The original is possibly located in the Cincinnati History Library and Archives (formerly the Historical and Philosophical Society of Ohio).
