Scope and Contents:
On Jan. 22, 1803, William Ball of Frederick County, Va., sold an enslaved 13-year-old boy named Wilson to James Powers, for 80 Pounds U.S. money. The sale was witnessed by William Patton and Charles Bakley or Barkley.
