This eight-page transcript is of the report of the visiting committee appointed by the Illinois Annual Conference to attend the examination of the students at McKendree College, a Methodist institution. The report describes favorably the state of learning at the school, the subjects taught, and the attendance at chapel, but it advises against the playing of musical instruments at the college.
