Assigned duties will be commensurate with background, skills, and time commitment, and may include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shelving of books and microfilm<\/li>\n<li>Providing circulation desk support<\/li>\n<li>Assisting patrons with finding materials or using library equipment<\/li>\n<li>Providing support for newspaper digitization activities and other digital library initiatives (e.g. OCR correction)<\/li>\n<li>Assisting with stacks maintenance (e.g. cleaning, shelf reading)<\/li>\n<li>Assisting with special projects<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Strong service orientation; ability to communicate effectively; ability to work in a team environment; Current GSLIS student status<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please send a resume and short cover letter via email to <a href=\"mailto:hpnl@library.uiuc.edu\"> <strong>hpnl@library.uiuc.edu<\/strong> <\/a> .<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Looking to gain practical experience in a busy departmental academic library?
