Is it an individual or a corporate author?<\/li>\n<li>What are the author&#8217;s credentials (education, experience, institutional affiliation)?<\/li>\n<li>Does the author display a bias or unique perspective?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<p><a title=\"Web of Science\" href=\"https:\/\/www.library.illinois.edu\/proxy\/go.php?url=http:\/\/webofknowledge.com\/UA\">Web of Science<\/a> and <a title=\"Scopus\" href=\"https:\/\/www.library.illinois.edu\/proxy\/go.php?url=https:\/\/www.scopus.com\/\">Scopus<\/a> are both useful in determining the citation history of a specific author.<\/p>\n<h2>Relevance<\/h2>\n<div class=\"shortcode sh-p-4 sh-rounded sh-drop-shadow-sm sh-bg-blue-100 !sh-text-black \"><div><div class=\"\">\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: none;padding-left: 1em\">\n<li>Is the author writing on the subject of his or her expertise?<\/li>\n<li>Is the author frequently cited\/respected in the field of expertise?<\/li>\n<li>When was the source published?<\/li>\n<li>Is the publication date timely?<\/li>\n<li>Who published the source? Does the publisher display a bias?<\/li>\n<li>If published in a journal, is the journal peer-reviewed?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<h2>Content of Information Source<\/h2>\n<div class=\"shortcode sh-p-4 sh-rounded sh-drop-shadow-sm sh-bg-blue-100 !sh-text-black \"><div><div class=\"\">\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: none;padding-left: 1em\">\n<li>Who is the intended audience?<\/li>\n<li>How well does the source cover your topic? All\/Part\/None?<\/li>\n<li>Why is the article being written?<\/li>\n<li>Are sources being cited?<\/li>\n<li>Are arguments logically presented?<\/li>\n<li>Are conclusions based on evidence provided in the source?<\/li>\n<li>Is there a list of cited sources?<\/li>\n<li>If the source is a book, does it include an index?<\/li>\n<li>Is this a primary or secondary source?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<p>Need help on how to cite resources?
