Wireless<\/h2>\n

Wireless internet networks are available throughout Funk Library. IllinoisNet is a network that is accessible throughout the building and requires a valid University of Illinois NetID to connect. For more information about how to access IllinoisNet, please visit the Technology Services Wireless<\/a> page.<\/p>\n

For campus visitors, Funk Library also has IllinoisNet_Guest, which is a network available to campus visitors on a temporary basis. For more detailed information about connecting to IllinoisNet_Guest, please visit the Campus Wi-fi, Visitors and Guests<\/a> page.<\/p>\n

Computers<\/h2>\n

There are Windows PCs and laptop docks available on the second and third floor of Funk Library.\u00a0 Computers for public use are on the second floor. These computers can all access the internet. You can also use Remote Desktop to connect to Illinois\u00a0AnyWare<\/a> in order to access specialized programs like Adobe suite, ArcGIS, SPSS, Living Cookbook, and other popular programs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Printing<\/h2>\n

Where<\/h3>\n

Printing is available from all public computers in Funk Library and from personal devices via web printing. Black & white documents, as well as color documents, will print at the public printers on the 2nd floor and need to be released via Web Print.\u00a0 Double-sided printing for both black & white and color is also available.\u00a0 Please select the “2-sided” print option to print out on both sides of the paper.<\/p>\n

(Note: The Funk ACES library does not have large format 11×17 printing)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

How Much<\/h3>\n

Printing at Funk Library costs $0.10 per page for Black and White printing, $0.40 per page for Color printing. Illinois students must pay for print jobs with Paid Credits on their Papercut<\/a> account. Faculty and staff can charge print jobs to their university accounts. All users have the option to pay cash but will have to pay and pick-up printouts at the Grainger Engineering Library.<\/p>\n

Scanning<\/h2>\n

There are two scanners on the second floor of the Funk Library; one is available for public use, and one requires a valid Illinois NetID to login.<\/p>\n

Doc Express is a scanning service to obtain articles or chapters from our print and microform collections. The service is free of charge to University faculty, staff, and students. For more information on this program, please read scroll to the bottom of the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and Document Delivery<\/a> page.<\/p>\n

Faxing<\/h2>\n

There are no public fax machines in any of the campus libraries. Fee-based fax service is available at Document\u00a0Services<\/a> in the Illini Union, Champaign Public Library<\/a>, and Urbana Free Library<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Loanable Technology<\/h2>\n

Funk Library has a small selection of technology accessories that can be checked out to users who possess a valid i-Card. These items are only for use within the Library and most have a two-hour loan period.\u00a0 The accessories include some Apple laptop\/iPad\/iPhone charger cables, micro-USB charger cables, and USB power adapters.
