This book proposes an unified theoretical framework to encompass all the key principles of corporate finance in an elegant, precise and clear way. In 1945 she lost her last family member after losing all her other siblings, parents, and friends during the war to many historically known events. She survived because she had good looking hair, was incredibly lucky, and adapted and resisted adaptation in the right moments. She became the lioness for her children and their families. She died on April 9, 2008. If she did not survive, I would not be here. She was my grandmother. In addition, Temple Grandin is autistic, which has given her a unique empathy with animals. This book consists of his lectures and it was published after he was killed in a tragic accident.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a id=\"E\" name=\"E\"><\/a>M. He suggested this parable book around the time I joined Illinois, hoping I would find it as useful as he had during his life. It has been invaluable. Years after I first encountered it, Kermode&#8217;s book still strikes me as an astonishing, erudite, and cogent piece of criticism.<\/p>\n<p><strong>James Hansen<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>English<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>____________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>When the Crocodile Eats the Sun: a Memoir of Africa<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/em>Peter Godwin<\/p>\n<p>As a native of Zimbabwe raised on a farm, which was taken away by the government without compensation, this memoir provides an account of the conditions and situation in that country that closely resemble the outcome for my family members.\u00a0 I also met the author when he was a young boy living in a copper mining village close to the family farm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alan Christopher Hansen<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Agricultural and Biological Engineering<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>____________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Tunnelling and Tunnel Mechanics: A Rational Approach to Tunnelling<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/em>Dimitrios Kolymbas<\/p>\n<p>Tunneling is a key ingredient to improving the quality of life in our increasingly urbanized world. He is known especially for his work on visual representations in the context of social and political issues. The power of images to help us negotiate our social relationships, political behavior and sense of identity is the reason I chose my field, and this book will give students a passionate and fun treatise on this essential topic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Laurie Hogin<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Art &amp; Design<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>____________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The English Patient<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><br \/>\nMichael Ondaatje<\/p>\n<p>The English Patient is poetry, that poses in the guise of as a novel. I re-read this novel every year, and always find something new from it. I recommend it to fiction writers and fiction readers.\u00a0 It is absolutely one of my favorite books to get lost in.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LeAnne Howe<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>American Indian Studies, English<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>____________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The Year of the Dog<\/em><br \/>\n<\/strong>Grace Lin<\/p>\n<p>I knew the author while growing up around Utica, NY. Ours were part of a handful of Chinese families in the area. My own history of music and literature in Georgian London, to be published in spring 2010 by Cambridge UP, takes Burney&#8217;s masterpiece as both subject and model.
