The invention of paper as a medium to deliver thoughts has a direct impact on the development of books and civilization, since paper has been the most important material for the development of books from ancient to modern times. The subject of this exhibition is paper, including the invention of papermaking, the origins of written books, the invention and development of printing, and book-binding art, among others. The collection for this exhibit is composed of materials from the Rare Book Collection of the National Central Library and contemporary publications in Taiwan. The ceremony will include an introduction to the exhibit, as well as a lecture. During the ceremony, the replica of two valuable rare books, <em>Annotated Poetry of Su Dongpo<\/em> (\u8a3b\u6771\u5761\u5148\u751f\u8a69) and\u00a0<em>Diamond Sutra\u00a0<\/em>(\u91d1\u525b\u7d93), will be given to IAS as presents.
