Art Index Retrospective/Art Full Text – Indexes articles, book reviews, and images from journals in art, art history, and architecture from 1929 to the present. Includes full text of selected journals beginning in 1997.

Art Bibliographies Modern – Indexes journal articles, books, exhibition catalogs and dissertations for artists and movements from the late 19th century to the present. Coverage begins in 1974.

Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals – Offers a comprehensive listing of journal articles published worldwide on architecture and design, archaeology, city planning, interior design, and historic preservation.

Bibliography of the History of Art (BHA) – Provides the most comprehensive index to the history of European and American art from late antiquity to the present. Includes articles, book reviews, conference proceedings and dissertations, exhibition and dealer’s catalogs. Coverage begins around 1974 and goes until 2007.

International Bibliography of Art (IBA) – A continuation of the BHA, covers material from 2000 until the present.

Design and Applied Art Index (DAII) – Indexes and abstracts periodicals in design and the applied arts, beginning in 1973.

Arts: Search – Consists of three parts: Design Abstracts Retrospective, Design Profiles, and ReView. Design Abstracts Retrospective is an indexing service covering the most important design and applied arts journals and annuals published in the 20th century. Design Profiles is a biographical dictionary of designers, artists, and architects. ReView is a digitization project that aims to provide access to many of the most important decorative and fine arts journals.

Arts & Humanities Citation Index – A multi-disciplinary index of journal literature that traces citations found in indexed articles, 1980-Present.

FRANCIS – International humanities and social science index that includes substantial coverage of art and archaeology. Coverage begins in 1984.

IBZ: Internationale Bibliographie der Zeitschriftenliteratur aus allen Gebieten des Wissens – International bibliography of scholarly periodicals in western languages in the arts, humanities, and social science. Coverage on-line begins in 1983.

JSTOR – Extensive digital archive of back issues of scholarly journals.

Periodicals Archive Online – Formerly Periodical Content Index. Full-text archive of humanities and social science periodicals.

Reader’s Guide to Periodical Literature Retrospective – An online version of Wilson’s Reader’s Guide, indexing articles in the popular press from 1890-1986 and providing a rich resource for the study of Twentieth-Century American culture. Includes subsantial coverage of popular art periodicals, as well as of art in the popular press.
