Media Collections in the UIUC Library:

All of the items in the following collections can be found on the Library Online Catalog.

Africana Reading Room maintains an Index to Africa-Related Vidoes and Films at UIUC, much of which is housed at the Undergraduate Library Media and Reserves Center.

Communications Library in Gregory Hall houses a collection of videotapes and audiotapes relating to the discipline of communications.

Bibliography of Latin American, Hispanic American and Caribbean Videos

Music Library has a large collection of videotapes and sound recordings. The library also has viewing/listening carrels with vhs-beta, laser-disc, reel-to-reel, record, and slide equipment.

Ricker Library of Architecture and Art has a "small but burgeoning" collection of videos and other audio-visual materials.

Veterinary Medicine Library maintains a collection of videotapes relating to veterinary medicine.

 

UIUC Media Collections housed outside the UIUC Library:

 

English Multimedia Center A collection of video tapes, laser discs, and CD-ROMs. Listings of these materials are available at the EMC website. Please see their policy statement for restrictions.

The Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center Multimedia Resource Library This collection is made up of more than 150 feature films, documentaries, and educational programs related to the Russian, East European, and Central Asian regions. The Center's policy is to provide access to its videos free of charge to the following: UIUC faculty and registered student organizations, state of Illinois K-12 instructors, and university/college faculty across the United States.

Asian Educational Media Service . Search for reviews of audio cassettes, video cassettes, films and slides, videodiscs and CD-ROMS, and curriculum units related to Asia. Reviews are prepared by scholars at UIUC.
