Finding books by title or author name

If you know the exact title of the book or the author's name:

To search by title:

  1. Enter the Online Library Catalog.
  2. Enter the exact title in the Search box. 
  3. Select "Title" in the  Within box.
  4. Click Search.
  5. Click on the title of the item you wish to locate.
  6. Scroll down the screen and note the following pieces of information to locate the item: Location, Call Number, Status.

To search by author:

  1. Enter the Online Library Catalog.
  2. Select the Author tab.
  3. Enter the author's Last Name and Initials or First Name in the boxes. 
  4. Click Search.
  5. Click on the title of the item you wish to locate.
  6. Scroll down the screen and note the following pieces of information to locate the item: Location, Call Number, Status.

If you know words from the title or part of the author's name:

To search for a title:

  1. Enter the Online Library Catalog.
  2. Select the Advanced tab.
  3. Enter known title words in the Search box. 
  4. Select "Title" in the  Within box.
  5. Click Search.
  6. Click on the title of the item you wish to locate.
  7. Scroll down the screen and note the following pieces of information to locate the item: Location, Call Number, Status.

To search for an author:

  1. Enter the Online Library Catalog.
  2. Select the Advanced tab.
  3. Enter known author words in the Search box. 
  4. Select "Author Name" in the  Within box.
  5. Click Search.
  6. Click on the title of the item you wish to locate.
  7. Scroll down the screen and note the following pieces of information to locate the item: Location, Call Number, Status.
