Renewing Technology at the Undergraduate Library

Policies for Renewing Technology

Policy

Most loanable technology items can be renewed once if there are no other reservations for that item and if the item was returned within the correct time frame (not overdue). The Library reserves the right to deny renewal of items in order to best accommodate needs of others who may need the item.  The Library is only able to provide a limited number of loanable technology items and the intent is to provide short term access to these items for class projects and needs.

• You may renew items at the Undergraduate Circulation Desk with a valid I-Card or you may call 333-3477 if the item is an item that can circulate.
• Upon return of the item you will need to check it in at the Loanable Technology desk at the Undergraduate Library.  You will need to sign the form that was used at check out for all of the pieces and to verify the condition.

Certain types of loanable technology  (http://www.library.illinois.edu/ugl/about/LoanableTechnology/technology.html#Equipment) can be reserved ahead of time if there are no other reservations (short loan bookings).  See  http://www.library.illinois.edu/ugl/about/techbooking.html  for more information.

Please note that the library is not responsible for any damage that may occur on equipment as a result of media borrowed from the library

Late fines for items not returned on time will apply
