Removing/Uninstalling the libX Toolbar

For Firefox

From the Firefox menus, select Tools, then Add-Ons. Find the entry for LibX University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Select Uninstall, then Restart Firefox. You can also choose to simply disable the the LibX Add-On, and Enable it again whenver you choose.

For Internet Explorer

From the Explorer Menus, select Tools, then Manage Add-Ons, then Enable or Disable Add-Ons. Make sure that the Show menu is set to "Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer." Browse the Add-ons for the one called LibXBar. Select it and choose the "Disable" from the Settings options below the add-ons listing. Select OK at the bottom of the MAnage Add-ons screen. At this point, libX will no longer be available in IE, but hasn't been unisntalled. To completely uninstall the libX add-on, go to the Windows "Add/Remove Programs" options (Start, Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs). Find the entry "LibX for IE" and select the "Change/Remove" button.
