We had an erratic problem occurring between approximately 10:00AM Sunday and 9:30AM Monday that may have confused or inconvenienced some users.
When a user clicks a link (such as from ORR) that goes to an off-campus paid resource that potentially needs to be proxied, our web server has to look at the client IP to determine whether the user is off campus or not. That determination was not always correct.
Depending on the apparent client's location, it either sends them to the NetID login screen for the proxy service or straight to the vendor's site. Fortunately, by going back to our web site and re-trying (or by going ahead and logging into the proxy), users were able to get access to the resources even during this problem.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and are optimistic that we have corrected the problem.
