One of the library's network switches in the main Library building went down over the Memorial Day weekend and (as of this writing) is still down. CITES, who maintains these switches, will be working on the switch today.
In the meantime, several staff workstations and the Docutek server will have no network connectivity. The affected machines include
* several printers in Acquisitions
* a couple of public machines in the Education library
* about 20 staff machines in Acquisitions
* a couple of staff machines in the Circulation area
* a public machine in the Circulation area
* a couple of staff machines in the Administrative area
* several staff machines in Reference
* a staff machine in Archives
If you want to check whether your machine is on this list, call the IT Help Desk at x4-4688.
The network switch is a high-priority item and CITES should be fixing it first thing this morning.
As soon as we have more information we will post it to this group as well as call the affected areas.
