Funk ACES 509

Below are some details about the computers and technology in the instructional classroom 509 Funk ACES Library.

Instructors – Please make sure to test any application(s) you plan to use for instruction at least a few weeks prior to your instruction.  If there are application problems, then please submit a ticket.  Remember any software updates are done annually at the beginning of the summer.

  • Windows 11 Enterprise 64 bit Operating System
  • 8 GB memory (RAM)
  • Instructor unit – Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q
    • Intel Core i5-8500T CPU @ 2.10GHz
    • 24 inch monitor
  • Student units – Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q
    • Intel Core i5-8500T CPU @ 2.10GHz
    • 24 inch monitor
    • Built-in camera at the top of the monitor
    • External speaker bar is turned off; only headphones work

Instructional Area

  • Touch Panel for room system control, behind lectern on wall next to whiteboard
  • Manual height adjustable/ADA lectern
  • Confidence Monitor on adjustable monitor arm
  • Wireless keyboard and mouse for Room PC
  • 3 available USB ports behind lectern, on the wall under the whiteboard for Room PC
  • Video conferencing using campus standard soft codecs (Microsoft Teams, Zoom) with Room PC
    • Microphones (2 ceiling mics, lavalier, and handheld). Lavalier and handheld mics are stored on 508 shelf, along with charger
    • Room cameras (podium = camera 2 and audience = camera 1)
  • Wall plate behind lectern on wall under whiteboard
    • 3 available USB ports for Room PC
    • HDMI port

  • Laptop connection – Laptop Wireless Presentation (Solstice app) and HDMI. HDMI port with USB ports on wall plate under whiteboard behind lectern

  • Projector screen controls are located by the main entrance door in room 509 ACES, projector switch says up/down
  • Banked lighting switch by the main entrance door
