About the Test Collection

The Test Collection in the Social Sciences, Health, and Education Library (SSHEL) contains over 8,500 tests measuring achievement, intelligence, character and personality, vocational aptitude, and many other subjects. Tests dating from 1904 to the present are included and are classified according to the system used by Buros in the earlier Mental Measurement Yearbooks. A list of the test classifications is available on the  Test Classification System page.

Test packets usually contain a copy of the test form, a manual and a scoring key. Information on reliability, validity and norms should be provided in the test manual. SSHEL also owns a collection of tests on microfiche. This collection provides access to unpublished tests.  Tests in Microfiche, Annotated Index, (Sets A-Y) indexes these tests by title, subject and author and is located in SSHEL Reference.

If you have additional questions about the Test Collection, the  Test Collection Database, or SSHEL's circulation policies, please e-mail  Kelly McCusker, Behavioral Sciences Librarian.

TEST PACKETS DO NOT LEAVE THE LIBRARY. COPYING AND SCANNING OF TESTS IS PROHIBITED.
