Special Collections in SSHEL

The Social Sciences, Health, and Education Library (SSHEL) has a variety of special collections covering a wide range of topics.

  • Curriculum Collection
    Textbooks, curriculum guides, audio-visual materials, computer software, catalogs from textbook publishers.
  • Folklore
    Includes transcripts of stories.
  • Microform/Microfiche
    Includes American Primers, Early Children's Literature: The Birmingham Central Library Collection, ERIC, Human Relations Area Files (HRAF), Journal Supplement Abstract Service (JSAS), Kraus Curriculum Development Library, Oregon Microfiche, and Tests in Microfiche.
  • Test Collection
    Includes over 8,500 tests measuring achievement, intelligence, character and personality, vocational aptitude and many other subjects.
