The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College of Education is sponsoring the Youth Literature Festival to bring together the community and campus in celebration of the value of literature in the lives of youth. The festival will be held on Saturday, October 6 at the I-Hotel and Conference Center. Many nationally known authors (as well as emerging young authors), illustrators, poets, and storytellers will participate in the various Festival events. All events are free and open to the public. The Social Sciences, Health, and Education Library (SSHEL) created an exhibit in the display cases and on the wall of the north / south corridor of the Main Library building featuring books from authors presenting at the Youth Literature Festival Saturday. Come visit both the library and the festival to learn about youth literature!
