There is one certainty in the world of 21st century scholarly communication: issues will continue to evolve and change. Here are some recommended resources for keeping up to date:
- Issues in Scholarly Communication Newsletter: Written by Paula Kaufman, U of Illinois's University Librarian, and Katie Newman, U of Illinois Biotechnology Librarian, this newsletter (a blog) is updated frequently and focuses on issues of particular concern to U of Illinois scholars.
- Open Access News: Published by Peter Suber, a leading voice of the Open Access movement. Suber also publishes the SPARC Open Access Newsletter.
- Your departmental librarian: We encourage you to engage in regular dialogue with the U of Illinois librarian in your academic area. Collaboration between scholars and librarians will be necessary if we are to forge a better system of scholarly communication.
