These are tools to correct and clean up data, typically spreadsheets, and get them ready for further processing. They can do things like correct spelling, remove extraneous characters or even change the order and structure of a data table.

Learn about the citation management tool that also excels at organizing your research with tools that help manage them PDFs on your computer. In addition, Mendeley can help you share research with collaborators and discover articles in your field. It also inserts citations and bibliographies into a word processor document.

Zotero is a free citation management software plug in for Mozilla Firefox. It enables users to collect, manage, and cite research from all types of sources. It is easy to use, lives in your web browser where you do your work, and it is free! allows you to attach pdfs, notes, images and screenshots to your citations, to organize them into collections for different projects, and to create bibliographies using Word or OpenOffice.
RefWorks
RefWorks is a citation management software program, paid for by the University Library and offered FREE to faculty, staff, and students at the University of Illinois. RefWorks collects, stores, and organizes citations from books, articles, web sites, and other sources. RefWorks automatically converts citations into properly formatted bibliographies and formats references within manuscripts.
