This collection is comprised of 1,505 English plays and promptbooks published, for the most part, during the nineteenth century (actual publication dates range from 1780-1905). Genres represented in the collection include farce, burlesque, comedy, melodrama, and tragedy. Each bound volume generally contains the plays of a single author. Most of the items in the collection are not represented in the library's online catalog. Searching this collection via the link below is the primary mode of access. In order to request a particular item, please have available the call number of the volume in which it is bound.
