Scope Note
Two statues of Mark Twain, busts of Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau, and a brass vase. Busts of Emerson and Thoreau bear etching "Sidney" on back; one statue of Twain bears etching "E.C. Hibbard" on base. Busts of Emerson and Thoreau are dated 1881 and 1885, respectively; statue of Twain (with "E.C. Hibbard" etching) is dated 1912; second statue of Twain (seemingly by Hibbard as well) and the vase are undated--vase appears to be of the same vintage as the statues and busts.
