Ptolemaeus, Claudius, 2nd century.
Liber Geographiae Cum Tabulis et Universali...
Venice: J. Pentium de Leucho, 1511.

This edition owes its importance to the heart-shaped map of the world on which for the first time in any edition of Ptolemy, North America is shown, along with the names of regalis domus and terra laboratorus, the former a fragmentary coastline, the latter a large island. Below these are terra cuba, ispaniar insu, and part of South America with the inscription, TERRA SANCTAE CRUCIS.

The maps are not reprints, but are from entirely fresh wood-blocks with the letterings type-printed in red and black.
