Scope and Contents: This commonplace book contains 40 pages of manuscript transcriptions of Restoration-era writings in several hands. The contents include love poems, satirical poems, orations, and a translation from Ovid's Amores. The volume includes transcriptions of works by John Wilmot and John Dryden. The final three pages contain financial accounts dated 1703-1704, including payments received from Hugh Hughs for "Cole."
