Scope and Contents: A list of the 6,267 titles from the library of Prof. Gustav Grber.; Mss. codices.; Gustav Grber, Professor of Romance Philology at the University of Strassburg, was a Romance scholar and collector. The main strength of his collection was Provencal and Italian literature and linguistics, though there were materials on all Romance languages and dialects, and volumes on classical, English, and Germanic works. His collection also contains a large number of dissertations and other studies, which comprise the vast majority of pamphlets and brochures on Romance subjects published in Germany from 1880-1910.; A list of the 6,267 titles from the library of Prof. Gustav Grber.; Title from ms. label on v. 1 front board.; Bindings: Commercially ruled notebooks, quarter cloth over marbled boards; ms. title label on each front board.; Origin: "Strassburg" inscribed on each label; year of author's death provides terminus post quem.; Purchased as part of the Grber Collection in 1912; each front paste-down erronneously bears the bookplate of the Library of Heinrich A. Rattermann, Cincinnati, purchased in 1915.
