Scope and Contents: Collection of 300 letters dated from 1761 through 1799, chiefly to and from Diego Jos Carrillo de Albornoz y Bravo de Lagunas, conde de Montemar, and members of his immediate family, with occasional letters addressed to other recipients. Letters are addressed from Madrid, Trillo, and Lima. A number of the letters are addressed to Francisco Manrique de Lara, brother-in-law to Diego Jos Carrillo de Albornoz y Bravo de Lagunas and the latter's younger brother, Pedro Carrillo de Albornoz.
