Scope and Contents: This collection consists of two commonplace books containing essays about religion and other topics. The first volume includes essays on religious and philosophical subjects, brief biographies of historical figures, and a small number of poems. The majority of the contents are in English and many of the essays include citations to various sources. The second volume contains essays in both English and Latin, often with Biblical citations.
